Columns
This trick is an easy advancement from 2 in one hand and looks impressive, especially if you can get the balls to appear to be moving up and down in two distinct columns. There are many variations but I will each the main way that (I think) looks the best. This trick is also a good stepping stone for four ball juggling
How to
To start take one ball in each hand. Throw both balls straight up to about eye level and catch them again in the same hand, practise doing this so that the balls are moving paralel and to the same height. Once you can do this confidently take 2 balls in your strong hand. Again throw one ball from each hand straight up but then throw the third ball up between then 2 of them as they reach their peaks, again you want this ball to go up vertically so that you can catch it again in the same hand. Be careful to make sure you have move you hand over enough when you throw it so that it doesn't collide with one of the other two balls on its way back down. As this ball reaches its peak catch and re throw the other two balls so that you are back to the start.
You will take a lot of practise to get this right as the throws are vertical and you are throwing and catching 2 balls at the same time However once you have mastered it it can look very impressive. If you are finding it difficult practise 2 in one hand on its own till you get more confident with it. You should also practise throwing two balls at the same time in different hands.
