Mills Mess

About

mills mess juggling is an impresive way to juggle where your arms are continually crossed and uncrossed whilst juggling 3 balls. The trick is easy to learn as the timings and pattern is identical to that of the three ball cascade howerver the sequence of crossing and uncrossing arms takes a while to get used to. The trick is especially effective as it is easily visible what you are doing.

How to

ARMS
First of all you need to practise the hand movement. Cross your arms with your strong hand on top, position you arms so your weak arm is central in front of you and your wrists cross. Move you arms as if they are following round in a circle so that you weak arm is now on top and your strong arm should be central to your body. Then do the motion in reverse after a breif pause. In mills mess you want to be continually doing this patter shortly stopping after each cross before swapping them back over

2 BALLS
Now you can take two balls, one in each hand and cross your arms (start with your strong hand on top then swap over as you get used to it). First of all throw the ball in the top hand as you begin to uncross you arms, once you arms are uncrosse throw the second ball. Re-cross you hands, with the other hand on top, and catch the first ball with the hand on top and the second ball with the hand underneath. If this is done right the balls shoud appear to follow each other around. If you do these continually the balls will follow each other in a figuer of eight on its side or in an infinety pattern.

3 BALLS
Once you can do two balls confidently without droping them in both hands you can add a third ball. Again start with your arms crossed but this time with 2 balls in the hand on top. Throw the first 2 balls as normall but throw the third one from the right(if your right handed) hand underneath the left hand to clear this hand to catch the second ball. Now throw the first 2 balls back over as you did when practising with 2 balls in time to make the catch of the third ball in the left hand. This may take some time getting used to and it can a tricky idea to think about. A good way to see how its done is to watch slow motion videos of other jugglers.

Good luck top^^
