Kiting
How the kite works
The way a kite works is simple, the bridal holds the kite in such a way that the cells fill up with air, the kite inflates, and then the angel of the bridal causes it to move upwards.
The bridal holds the kite so that the leading edge is further forward than the trailing edge, this means that when air is forced into the kite the kite begins to move upward. When you pull one of the handles it pulls that end forward causing the kite to change angel, this then changes the angel at which it flies because the trailing edge is in a different position.
With a four line kite to two brake lines give you the ability to change the angel of the kite thus increasing or decresing its speed and power. By pulling the main lines back and letting the brake lines forward you increase the tention in the kite making it deliver more power, it will also cause the kite to move faster. IF you pull on the brake lines the kite will begin to collapse as moves backwards, the power will drop signifcantly. Depending on how far you pull them the kite will either slow down or move backwards. If you move them in opposite directions you can make the kite spin on the spot as one edge will be pulled forward on one side and back on the other, this makes each end move in opposite directions and the kite spins.
