This is fairly accurate surf report for porthcawl great for surfing
This surf report gives the height of the swell coming in off the altantic, to porthcawl, however once it actually reaches the beach it is effected by the tide, cross winds and shape of the beach. This causes the waves to become higher than predicted at high tide and smaller at low tide. Also cross winds may affect the surf.
Note
You cannot surf at porthcawl 2 hours either side of high tide because of the rocks.
